The 2017 Scout Shield was in Larch Hill again. We registered at 7pm. We were site 10. We worked well setting up site. We put up our boundary, 3 tents, flag, set the altar fire and chopping area. We finished the pioneering project and put up a gate on site. The judges were observing every so often. We had a Vanya lookalike judge. 4 of us did a very long hike on Saturday. The rest did bases. Campfire on Saturday was good. There were some good skits. Ours was good too. We made good friends with our neighbours, Leixlip. We took down the site on Sunday and had closing ceremony around 1pm. We were awarded the Silver Cert and badges for our work.
