Cubs Adventure Skills Day Out

Over 250 Cubs along with Leaders attended the first ever Cubs Adventure Skills Day Out held in Donadea Forest.  The majority of groups from the County were represented.  The day began with registration, Cubs grouped for the day and an Opening Ceremony.  After a briefing on maps and what was expected from the day, over 20 groups set off in search of casualties using their map reading skills.  Their First Aid skills were then put to the test as they had various “injuries” and “situations” to deal with.  All groups arrived back to St Peter’s Church grounds, on time, where they were greeted with a warm drink and enjoyed a freshly cooked hot dog.  The day closed with high praise to all the Cubs who participated and a reading read out to celebrate Founder’s Day which we will celebrate this Wednesday.  All Cubs earned a CASDO badge.

Congratulations has to be extended to our very our EVA GRANT who is also ACPC.  Eva planned, organised and maintained the whole day meticulously.  Eva did us and the County very proud today so a huge big BRAVO Eva.
